July 31, 2008 (Port Dalhousie, Ont.) - The annual Pedal 100 for Heart and Stroke is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 17 at Henley Island, Port Dalhousie, Ontario. Cycle through beautiful wine country in the heart of Niagara and raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. There are five distances - 30km, 60km, 100km, 160km, and 200km - helmets are mandatory.
Last year broke records for the highest number of participants at 339 who raised $34,000, the most the ride has ever raised. Proceeds from this event allow the Heart and Stroke Foundation to continue funding world-class heart disease and stroke research which has led to the breakthrough of medical advancements, social change and widespread health education that is improving the lives of Canadians!
