October 31, 2008 (Bromont, QC) – Team Volkswagen has announced that for 2009 the team will have 11 riders, and team sponsors include Astral Médias, Specialized, Eska, Apogée, Thule, and Oakley. Team VW's coach, Josee Robitaille told us that the squad will compete at many races across Canada and the USA, including the Tour de Beauce and the 2009 Canadian Road Championships. Robitaille added, “Eric Boily [who rode with VW in 2008] won't be on our squad next year; that was the plan to help him reach the next level.” She was unable to comment on rumours that Boily has signed on with Team RACE.
