November 28, 2009 (Montreal, QC) - Stephen Roche, the Irish cyclist who stormed to victory at the 1987 Tour de France, the 1987 Giro, and the 1987 UCI Road World Championships road race in Villach, Austria, is coming to Canada in early December. Roche is only the second pro rider to win the Triple Crown of Cycling along with top Belgian star Eddy Merckx. He will give two free evening conferences, one in Montreal on Wednesday, December 9, and another the following day in Quebec City.
Roche will speak about his experiences as a professional cyclist, recreational rides that he now organizes, and the EKILIB training camp that he manages on the Spanish island of Majorca. The conferences are scheduled to take place in French, but we have been assured that Roche will respond to questions in English.
Wednesday, December 9 - 6:30 pm Auberge des Gouverneurs Place Dupuis 1415 Saint-Hubert Street Metro Berri, Montréal
Thursday December 10 - 6:30 pm Auberge des Gouverneurs 3030, Charest Blvd Sainte Foy, QC
