March 9, 2010 (London, ON) - The Forest City Velodrome in London Ontario is pleased to introduce an exciting new format for Sprint Qualifying during the next two race events at the 138m indoor Velodrome. In an effort to add some spectator appeal to the qualifying procedure for speed events, riders will have three minutes to set their fastest time and advance into the "Thunder Pro Cycling Series".
The total number of riders entered in the event will be split into 4 groups. Each group of 8-12 riders will be given time to complete their qualification efforts. The quickest 18 riders will advance into the "Thunder Pro Cycling Series" Tournament where $500.00 per event will be on the line.
