March 11, 2010 (Boisbriand, QC) - Studio Cycle – Garneau Concept held its grand opening on Wednesday evening here in the Faubourg Boisbriand shopping centre, about 20 minutes north of Montreal. Some 300 people attended the event, including Louis Garneau himself. The 7,200 sq ft store has been open since early February and co-owners Pascal Gagné, Jean-Pascal Lion, and Ghyslain Larose are pleased with the customer response to date, especially with clothing sales.
Garneau himself was pleased to see 1,300 of his products displayed all at the same time. Although similar to other Louis Garneau concept stores, the Boisbriand location was designed by a retail specialist, “but we can’t reveal his name,” chuckled Larose. “And we think this might be the first time that a bike shop has opened in a mega centre shopping mall,” suggested Lion.
Apart from Louis Garneau products, there are also many other brands such as Thule, Salomon, etc, which complement the Garneau brand. The three other Louis Garneau concept stores are in Longueuil, Quebec City, and St. Hubert. All of these are in the province of Quebec.

Other well - known personalities will also be present. This new store is located at the Faubourg Boisbriand, 3230 Avenue des Grandes Tourelles and offers the largest selection of Louis Garneau products in Canada.
With more than 7,200 sq. ft. and 1,300 products, Studio Cycle – Garneau Concept proposes a wide selection of Louis Garneau sports goods and accessories. Customers who seek both quality and expertise will find “much more than bicycles as so aptly said in the new ad campaign. Upon entering the store, visitors will find every necessity for cyclists of every age and every level, a large selection of clothes and sports apparatus for outdoor lovers: general training, running, walking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Furthermore, tuning and repairing bicycles will be done on location, in the stunning brand new workshop.

Jean-Pascal Lion, shareholder in Studio Cycle inc. and in Studio Cycle – Garneau Concept, has a very impressive sports and business experience. He excelled both at home and internationally as road cyclist for many years, he’s also a certified Spinning instructor. In the past few years, he held a Vice President position at Pages Jaunes, Sympatico-Lycos and Vidéotron.
