Join us on Sunday, March 18
provided by Team Aviawest Rocky Mountain Bicycles
March 16, 2007 - This Sunday, March 18 come and meet the team. Bring your bike or just come and chat. Andreas Hestler and Seamus McGrath members of the professional Rocky Mountain Bicycles Team will host a formal ride with the Development Aviawest Rocky Mountain Bicycles Team.
Helping to inspire youth development and cycling in general are both passions of McGrath and Hestler. “We hope to show that following your dreams really can be a life choice,” said McGrath when asked about his attendance at this weekend’s ‘Ride for Inspiration’.
Taking some time away from early season training these two long-time members of Canada’s National Team will share their 36 years of cumulative professional wisdom.
During a question and answer period Seamus will be able to show both of his latest medals - one from the Pan American Championships (silver) in March 2007, and one from the Commonwealth Games (silver) in March 2006.
All of this experience in one place and for one purpose: passing on the positive attitudes and benefits of simply ‘riding our bikes’.
Please come and be part of our event at 1 pm on Sunday, March 18 at the Tim Hortons, 109-2401C Millstream Road and visit www.aviawest-rmb.com.
Also as an interesting side bar; last summer Andreas and Seamus teamed up together to win the Trans Rockies Challenge touted as “North America’s Toughest Bike Race”. It was Hestler’s third win while it was Seamus’ first foray into non-traditional cross country racing.
